week 8

Well, week eight is here. I've finished everything thing I've had to do for Modern British Poetry today (this blog post being the last thing on my list), and I really want to sleep for ten straight day. That paper kicked my butt, although I'm not surprised, eight months off of school will do that to you. I had a lot more fun with this class then I anticipated. When I read the syllabus at the beginning of the course, I honestly wasn't too thrilled about writing a 2500 word research paper and making a web site, but both assignments helped me to remember what it takes to think analytically. Also, we discussed a some interesting poems and authors, some of whom I wasn't familiar with their works. All-and-all, I'm happy I took this class!

week 7

I finished my discussion questions early this week, so I could start on my research paper, but then procrastinated on starting it. No worries, I'm already a decent portion into in with plenty to talk about. Sources, however, will be the death of me. They are and have always been the one thing about a paper I've dreaded the most. I'm hoping to have it ready to turn in on wed, but I shan't be surprised if'n I don't just put it off until the weekend. God help me. Really though, Wed is the day, hopefully. I'll except Thurs or Fri, I just have to have next weekend. Also I have to start that script too so, yeah. Damn. Allllrighty then. Take care, now. Bye, bye then.

Week 6

Week six is over. We got our website together (for the most part) and all my discussions are finished! So time to relax. We talked more about Auden, much more difficult this week. Praise of the Limestone is by far the most challenging poem I've ever read. It blows everything from The Wasteland to Howl out of the water in complexity. Or maybe I just didn't get it. Very plausible.
