Hey,
I'm trying to come up with a way to improve my one act play. I'm adding one character, a voice that only Coltrane can hear. The problem is I'm not sure how it would be acted out on stage. Should there be someone actually on stage, acting out the lines? Should someone simply read the lines into a mic? Not sure. I know I'll need to add more of this character to the play, so I can develop it and give it a personality. I want it to have human characteristics, because the voice is something Coltrane makes up. In a sense, the voice would act as Coltrane's frustration towards this family and his situation. The voice would be telling Coltrane to take the easy way out; a bad influence of sorts. But also taunting Coltrane all along. Coltrane shouldn't like the voice at all, he should hate the voice. He should want to be rid of the voice forever. The voice will make sense to Coltrane at times, because it is convincing, it knows what Coltrane really wants. It will understand Coltrane, but nevertheless it will be a representation of the evil within Coltrane and his sickness.
Mid-terms are over now. I had a test in Spanish before Spring Break started and now have another on the first Thursday back. Why? Well back to studying. Bye.

Hey,
So i'm writing this play about a family of crazy people. It's sort of the theme of the play in many ways, craziness. Madness. I wouldn't have believed at 15, that i would know those kind of people, crazy people. It wasn't too long ago when i met my first legitimate one. One of my dearest friends now. My band is playing a show tomorrow night, the first one in nearly three months, because of some recording. I'm pretty excited and actually a little nervous. I don't usually get nervous before shows, I don't know why. Maybe just because its been a while. We're playing with a good line up, which is the main reason for my excitement. I hate playing a show with shitty bands. Playing with good bands just has a better atmosphere.... predictable huh? Anyhoot, I'm hoping it'll all go well, if not then I'll just have to quit music and take up bee keeping or something. Ha. I'm scared of bees. Well, not scared, I just don't liked to be stung. Once again... go figure.

Blah, Blah. Today sucks. I was told at work today if school was cancelled tomorrow, then I would have to come in. This is because I am one of the lucky few who live closest to work. Damn, I never thought I would say this but, I wish I lived in Harrah. Ha. Just the nature of the beast I suppose. Greed is what is destroying this country, I just wish more people knew that I guess. Writing a play now. Don't really know where to go with it right now. Not listening to any music at the moment either. Silence is weird. The kind of weird that makes the hairs stand up. I got nothing else. Sorry.

Hey There,
I'm currently listening to Sonic Youth, in case that matters. I like art, music in particular, and I try to be around as much of it as possible. The state of music today is a sad, darken one, left bloody and broken by The Jonas Brothers. I don't listen to the radio. I had a thought the other day to start making lists. These lists would be of anything, to-do or otherwise. I think that will help me stay focused. I started writing when I was a freshman at OSU, because I enjoyed my Comp I class. I remember having an assignment where we had to analysis gender and personality in a Hollywood movie and write about it. I chose Fight Club. That was, unexpectedly, my first reporting assignment given to myself. I looked at the assignment as a news story. The next semester I changed my major to Journalism. I'm been at UCO for two semesters now. Playwriting is my second Creative Writing course, after taking Prof. Givan's Creative Writing I, my first semester here. That class was my first attempt at writing creatively; until then I had only written for news and reviews. During Givan's class I wrote one satire, one short story, and 4 or 5 poems. Also around this time I began reading the Beats, which influences my writing greatly. I hope to further my writing skills throughout this class, and gain a better understanding of different aspects of writing and style. One dream of mine is to write screenplays for movies. Some friends of mine have kicked around the idea of doing a movie, black and white.
